ABOUT LINDSEY

Harpist and violist, Lindsey Warford, began her studies at an early age in Kentucky. She continued her music education in Florida where she graduated from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and was a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Her skills progressed as she participated in community and state-wide competitions, music camps, and group ensembles such as the Florida Harp Extravagana. She holds a Bachelor's of Music in Harp Performance from the University of North Florida where she performed with the university's chamber orchestra, wind ensemble, harp ensemble, and string quartet. She continued her private studies at Florida State University where she received a Master's of Arts Administration. As an administrator, Lindsey has worked for organizations including the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Music Festival, Daytona Beach International Festival, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The New York Pops, and The New School. Additionally, she holds a Fundraising Certificate from New York University.
Lindsey has been a highly sought out artist and professional musician since 1999, traveling from Miami, FL to Hilton Head, SC, and is now located in the New York Metropolitan area. She has entertained a wide range of audiences with over 500 performances as a solo harpist and with various ensembles including community orchestras, choirs, churches, and school assemblies. She has worked in therapeutic settings with the Jacksonville, Florida Baptist Hospital's Body & Soul, The Art of Healing project and has performed at corporate receptions for organizations such as PGA TOUR, The Humane Society, Allstate Insurance, and Bausch & Lomb.
Lindsey has studied harp under the direction of: Kayo Ishumaru, Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra; Roslyn Rensch-Erbes, Indiana State University; and Mary Roman of both the Tallahassee and Valdosta Symphony Orchestras. Previous viola instructors include Elen Olsen and Marguerite Richardson, both of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.
